Better late than never.
I spent the whole thanksgiving weekend at my hm parents house in New York.
We drove there wednesday morning and arrived after a 2.5h car ride. We got ourself installed before it was time for late lunch around 1.30. Shortly after that we heard the door open and running in was my hm sisters kids. So the action started already. The day went by and during the evening all the parents went away and I had to watch the kids. It wasn't so hard. Simply put them infront of the wii and electronics and I didn't have to very much.
Thanksgivings day. Thursday!
The cooking started in the morning, stuffing had to be made, turkey prepared and all the other stuff had to be made aswell. We started to put up appetizers around 2pm and the were on the table for nearly 4 hours. And in thoose 4 hours I eat nearly 3.5 of them. Totally CRAZZZY!
The cheese on the same plate as the sausages, that became my doom. It was so tasty so I couldnt stop eating it.
Then there was breifly a 30 mintue break ( for me atleast ) before it was time for the main course. Turkey time.
And I love turkey. And the cranberrysauce is actually just like jelly that we have in Sweden, no sauce at all. But that was tasty to.
The only ting I didnt like with the thanksgiving dinner was actually the desserts ( Mom, can you imagine that ? )
Pumpkin pie, wierd taste. Apple pie, not very good according to me, but everybody else loved it. But what do I know. And a whipcreamcake ( the oreocookies in it was tasty though, but not the rest :(
Then everybody was nearly passed out everywere cause we were so stuffed with food. So I went to bed haha.
Friday, today did we do the eating in the opposite order. Started with dessert for breakfast, then turkey for lunch and at last it was appetisers for dinner. So everything was so messed up today. And I had to take care of the kids today to when all the moms went for pedicures. And of course, right before they got home the kids came in a fight and everybody was grumpy when they came home. Typically my luck. Trying to get them outside and play for a while. But that was apperantly to long time for them.
Then we talked all night and it was time to go to sleep.
And almost forgot, we had a pokemon cake for my hm sisters oldest kid that just had his birthday.
Saturday, woke up relativly late, 10.30 and had some freshly americanpancakes and bacon. So good. Probably the best americanpancakes I had in my life. Then it was time to drive home around noon. And the traffic was pretty good the whole way home, considerd that the thanksgiving weekend is the busiest holiday on the roads. The amount of cars on the road is ridicolusly high.
Then the rest of the night I kind of hide up in my room, practically doing nothing. Just relaxing and doing nothing.
